'Tis The Season...

So Christmas time is upon us, as a matter of fact Christmas is in 3 days! Let me tell you that working in retail is a female dog. I would like to think that this time of year brings out the best in people but constantly people prove me wrong. Could it be that I am just more of a softy than I pretend to be or is it that humanity has declined that much? Either way I would like to take the time out to ask all of my readers to take the time out and simply wish someone you don't know happy holidays. Whether you know it or not those simple words can make a person feel that much better about whatever they are going through.

I know I always feel special when someone I don't know utters those words to me. So just take the time and wish the guy at the gas station a merry christmas or even the little boy who constantly rings your doorbell trying to sell you stuff a happy new year. You never know it could make their day.

So to all of you I wanna say Merry Christmas and have a blessed new year. =)

The King is Back!

 

Yes ladies and gents, T.I. the self proclaimed king is indeed back. He was released into a halfway house today. For those of you not savvy on what exactly a halfway house is here is the breakdown. A halfway house is where they release convicted criminals who are now on parole for a while until the judge feels that they are ready to be released back into the population.

Now as for T.I. he is being released into the halfway house to serve out what we are assuming to be the remainder of his sentence. While there is no further information at this time his lawyer did confirm his release.

I will keep you posted on the situation...

Trey Songz - One Love

When I first started watching it my mind instantly started thinking, "Oh this looks like a sex tape." Not that I wouldn't mind seeing Trey in a sex tape, I mean who wouldn't...but that is not the point! Check out the video for Trey Songz's One Love released off of his "Ready" album. I think it's sweet and would make a very nice dedication on Valentine's Day.

Lady Gaga in Next to Nothing

While I was perusing the internet this morning, I  stumbled across some amazing photos of none other than Lady Gaga. The photos are fly as hell though. Check them out.

However, I couldn’t help but wonder if I would still “get it” if it was one of her R&B counterparts (i.e. Beyonce, Rihanna)

…And maybe I ask that because the Rihanna’s and Beyonce’s of the world are always criticized when wearing something a bit racy (or next to nothing), however the Lady Gaga’s of the world are admired for pushing the envelope. Aren’t they all pushing the same envelope?

Rihanna's Hard....Not So Much?

Rihanna releases her third video off of her new album Rated R entitled "Hard". Let's just say the only hard thing in this video is the fashion. Can't say I hate the song however.

When Life Catches Up....

I know that my blog has been out of service for a while but hey, that's what happens when life catches up with you. I have decided to resurrect it though even if only for a short while. So don't call it a comeback just call it a new chord in our k.otic symphony...

HOVamania in UK

Let's just say that the Jigga man is doing big numbers over seas. I'm talking selling out shows in seconds, literally! This morning he sold out his London show at Alexander Palace that is scheduled for Nov. 4th in 15 seconds. This comes after a previous show he did on Sept. 8th at London's Roadhouse sold out in a few hours. The UK must love them some Jay.

Can't wait to see his numbers for The Blueprint 3 in the UK.

Soulja Boy Got Arrested??

Alright so apparently Soulja Boy is doing the most right now. Deandre Way, better known as Soulja Boy, was arrested Wednesday night in Georgia. Apparently Soulja Boy was one of about 40 juveniles that were hanging out in an abandoned house. Here's the scoop:

According to a police spokesperson, an officer went to check out what was believed to be an abandoned house in the Henry County area, after he was told there were a bunch of people hanging out in the backyard.

Cops say when the officer rolled up to the home, he saw some women walking towards the yard and asked them to stop — but when they didn’t, he followed them into the yard.

The officer says when he walked inside, he saw roughly 40 people in the yard — and when they saw the cop, half of the people immediately booked it out of the home, including Soulja Boy.

The people who stayed in the party claimed they were at the house for a “music video shoot.”

The cop says Soulja eventually returned to the home to retrieve his Range Rover — and that’s when he was arrested for obstruction of justice … a misdemeanor. 

I thought you wanted to be a role model? I'm just going to say that you are definitely going about it all wrong. Come on Soulja Boy get it together because you are doing entirely too much right now!

Oh and why did you go back for the Range? Seriously, you should have just left it. Smh.

So recently a friend and fellow blogger of mine, Nay Besa, took on the topic of oral sex. She wrote a piece that I think everyone needs to read. It's direct and straight to the point. Ri Ri Just Let's It All Hang Out

I talking literally here! As you can see clear as day there goes Rihanna's ass. Now I'm not sure no scratch that I'm positive she knew her ass was showing. There's no way she didn't know. Heck if I was wearing that I would know my ass was showing because before every girl walks out the house she does the mirror check. Rihanna here is no ordinary girl though so she has people doing the mirror check for her. So I'm guessing someone thought this would make her look bad or Rihanna wanted to prove that she is indeed the Good Girl Gone Bad by heating it up a few notches. Well congrats Ri Ri you just turnt it up alright.

Now for all of you who see Rihanna doing this make sure you note, THIS IS RIHANNA. You CANNOT pull this look off. The first chick I see even attempt it, she will be the K.OS of the week. Know this ladies.

Yea so everybody knows Nivea is pregnant with Lil Wayne's baby. Word is its a boy and she's due...soon! Can't wait to see what exactly the baby will look like, hopefully he gets most of his mommy's looks. Anyway this is a  pic from her baby shower which was this past Sunday at Villa Christina in Atlanta, Ga. I must say she looks nice preggy!

Chris Brown's Redemption

No it's not going to be a movie, instead its a mixtape! Chris proves that he still has it with such songs as Twitter and Love Rocket. The latter being a ballad and the former just a fun song to move to. While I am suspect of one song that his did on the mixtape entitled I Can't Let You Go where he pretty much ignored Jay's D.O.A and went in on the autotune. Don't get me wrong the song is good but everyone knows that the autotune is very annoying. Still, if this is a preamble to his long awaited Graffitti album then I must say I am impressed!

Oh and I must say if you hate the album the one song that you will love off the mixtape is Hallow, even though I get the feeling its dedicated to Rihanna I must say I love it. It's a definitely a must hear.

Taylor Meet Kanye...

What could have possibly gotten into him. Kanye seems to be losing his mind these days. I mean he's fighting the paps, saying outlandish things, and now he's crushing white girl's spirits. Get it together Ye!

Silly Trick Twitter isn't for Messiness

So in case you haven't heard Miss cheap liquor, Tila Tequila, compared her situation with Shawn Merriman to the Chriannagate. She took to twitter to launch her attack but failed, miserably. Her above tweets were met by a simple reply from Chris. He politely told her that "her fifteen minutes are up" and ended by saying "god bless". Well I say he handled it with class kudos for him and Tila, where that baby at??

Call me Jordan 4th quarter in '92

Well ladies and gents I know I've been a.w.o.l by I'm back now. First order of business, I want you all to check out the new Ginuwine video. Its for his latest single Last Chance and I must say he is coming back with a bang.

Next I just wanna commend Chris Brown for handling his Larry King interview with such class. I mean he didn't try to justify his actions nor did he place the blame on anything or anyone else. I personally think he handled it nicely.

Last thing before I end this post. Why didn't anyone warn me that OJ Da Juiceman caught Gucci Manes ugly disease. I was so disppointed after seeing their video, Make Da Trap Say Aye. The song is still catchy but he wrong for that mouth of his. Just a shame.

It's finally HERE!!! Trey's album entitled Ready went on sale on iTunes at midnight and let's just say everyone was indeed ready. While there was the option to pre-order it and get a bundle, it seems as if many opted to by-pass the $40 price tag and order it off of iTunes. The album is sitting at 13th (for the regular version) and 39th (for the deluxe edition) on iTunes top albums list. Trey himself is definitely pushing for it to be number one. Only time will tell if his fans really go "ham" for him as he goes "ham" for them.

The album itself consits of numerous ballads and baby-makin songs. It will indeed get you ready for whatever you plan to do in the bedroom department with songs such as Neighbors Know my Name and Jupiter Love. At the same time however there are a few potential club songs for example Be Where You Are, while it may not be something you dance hard to it has potential to get some people up and dancing. The album in my k.otic opinion was worth the wait, even with the leak of songs and the full album length.

So if you haven't yet I suggest you go ahead and get you a copy. Maybe even get a copy for that special someone or even that person you just want to get it in with.

Forever: Drizzy Style

The new killer in the game Drake is all over the place these days, well not literally considering his injury. However, his lyrics and voice are everywhere. Teaming up with Lil Wayne, Kanye, and Eminem this time on the latest version of his song Forever seems to be a good look for him. While there is buzz around that this may not be the final copy of the song it sounds promising but then again it sounded promising on his mixtape Heartbrake Drake. Anyway you be the judge for yourself but I must say Eminem came back full force on everyone in the game.Can't wait for the actual album to drop.

K.otic Sounds

 

 This is dedicated to the new artists or not so new artists. Maybe you've never heard of them but I have so I will share them with you. You don't have to like all of them, you don't even have to listen to them but at least you can say you've seen their name somewhere. Every week I'll do a top five and if you have any suggestion please let me know. I'm all for new music. So here goes this weeks Top 5 K.otic Sounds (not ranked by how much I like them):

1.) Sophia Fresh - This three member girl group is amazing. They kinda have a TLC feel to them but at the same time they are their own group. The group consists of members Cole Rose, Skye, and Crystal. Their sound is different I mean yea they are singers but at the same time they bring the element of rap via Cole Rose. So they have an R&B, rap, and pop sound. Find out more here.

2.) Audio Push - They are different. I just found out exactly who they were yesterday. Right now I'm pretty indifferent towards them. I mean aside from the fact that they're rockin those skinny jeans I have nothing to say. I do love their version of D.O.A entitled B.O.A (birth of audio) its pretty good. Check them out here.

3.) Travis Porter - These three guys are different. They bring a different flair to hip hop. I mean they wearing the skinnies but they aren't jerkin. They are simply...isn't even a word to describe their style. Actually there is, it's spiffy, at least that's what they say in there song entitled Spiffy. You'll either hate them or love them there is no in between with this group. Here's more .

4.) Sean Carson - One word. WOW!!! He can sing and he can rap, but first and foremost he is a singer. Rapping is something he dabbles in. You have to hear it to believe it. So click here for a sample. Simply amazing.

5.) Vistoso Bosses -  They are sooo cute! I don't know where they got the idea but they have this whole we don't care what you think attitude. It's apparent by their choice of style because most female singers come out and they feel the need to compete with Beyonce' or Keri but these girls are simply refreshing. They are a duo both singers and rappers. Check them out here.

So that was the first edition of K.otic Sounds. Remember they are k.otic because they're original and refreshing.

Early Morning Thoughts...

As I sit here enjoying the marvelous beauty of nature with a little background music, I can't help but wonder what type of people get up bumpin' music loud. I mean really it flippin 8 in the mornin and all I can hear is "always strapped when I hit the club, _____ gimme dap, _____ gimme hugs". I mean dang I like that song but can't you wait to play it when everyone's awake. The worst part is I don't even live in that kind of neighborhood. Its okay though that song is the business.

Beyond that song I'm sitting here watching my dog run around with this brand new ball I just gave her. She's a mess but a cute mess. Sad part is when I get to work today I'm going to have to pick her up another ball to run with. She's a pitbull with very sharp teeth, need I say more?

Okay I was gonna end right there but now there's this bird. Goodness how I hate birds! They are constantly squawking for no reason! It just doesn't make any sense to me. They are supposed to make these beautiful songs for us to wake up to but all I ever hear is annoyance. But its gone now so with that, this post is done.

Anticipation to Ready

My first official post is about this Trey Songz album. So he teased us with his prelude album, Anticipation, which I must say is hot! So hot just the cover alone made me want to take a cold shower but now we are all waiting for the official release of his album Ready. I say "official" because there is a leaked version of the album floating around the net. I hope no one has really downloaded it because I mean come on the man is a pretty talented and why not support him by actually going out and buying the album! I know it was supposed to come out like forever ago but with the constant push backs its driving everyone up the wall and probably pushed a few people to download it. All I can say is that there must be a reason behind pushing it back, what 4 times (?), but at least we know that the final cut will be ranked supreme...right? Anyway all I can say is, yes Trey I'm READY!!

Soo...I'm not a blogger. Well technically speaking, I'm not a blogger. This is my first blog ever. I may not do it right but hey bare with me until I get the hang of things. My posts will be my opinions. I don't mean to offend or hurt anyone's feelings. Let me put it this way: Take my verses too serious, you'll hate me,Cause I'm the one to paint a vivid picture, no HD.(Drake) I'm only human remember that. Guess I had better explain the title of this blog. Well first thing you notice is that its spelt differently. K.otic comes from the word K.OS. K.OS is an acronym for knowledge of self but at the same time it holds the same meaning as "chaos". Chaos as I'm sure you all know is defined as the absence of order. Now to explain the word symphony. To me a symphony is a beautiful masterpiece that is created by one's own mind and it has some sort of order to it. In a way I guess you could say that the title of this blog is an oxymoron. Symphony's typically aren't chaotic but the human thought process is and because the posts will be a part of my thought process we will have the k.otic symphony. I know it doesn't make sense but hey it is what it is. HA! Yea I said it!

So let the fun begin as you become a part of this K.otic Symphony....
