I hate all debates. I think they're pointless because everyone has an opinion and everyone wants their opinion to be the right one. The fact of the matter however is that it is just an opinion and it can't change anyone's mind. Unless you're running for public office no one really cares.

Cole World Indeed

J. Cole is my new obsession, well his music is anyway. His lyrics speak to me. It's like he's speaking for the middle class college student from suburbia. Normally rappers talk about drugs and guns and I get lost in the rawness of it all but this guy he's different. Yes, he still raps about guns and drugs but he does it from a perspective that I can relate to. He's not necessarily from the hood but he knows what it's like there. The fact that he can rap about taking out school loans and talking to friends back home who are still stuck makes me like him. I must say I am impressed. I'm anticipating the release of his first EP, hopefully he doesn't lose his edge in an attempt to be mainstream.
